What Is Going on With the Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry Kiss "Ordeal"?

"To me it's something you do with somebody that you feel something for. It doesn't have to be sexual if you really are warm to that person. That's what you do."
Sharon Osbourne thinks that the controversy over Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry kissing, during "Adore You" at Miley's recent L.A. concert, is silly (The Talk)

"In front of her audience of thousands, the pair of musical ladies shared a proper, no holds barred, kiss on the lips... The aftermath was the part Katy was quick to post to her Twitter account. The snap from the pretty brunette "Roar" singer shows both she and Miley giggling following their touchy-feely ordeal."
Conservative British newspaper The Daily Mail, however, considered the peck an "ordeal" (calm down, English people)

"I adore you @MileyCyrus"
Katy Perry (Twitter)

"I used to go to gay clubs when I was a kid... I'd have these amazing drag queens style me up and down, honey. They would be up there lip-synching and then I'd get up and sing for real... That was my training basically."
Unsurprisingly, Jennifer Hudson was actually created by drag queens (V Magazine).

"The mask is great. It's freeing. It's a place where you can express yourself to your audience, to everyone, without being judged -- having to live up to whatever you name is supposed to represent.... That's the reason I perform most of [my] show in a mask."
We know you're in there, Kanye West -- the tickets to the concert have your name on them (Late Night With Seth Myers).

"It's going to be heavy. Like a bizarre fever dream."
St. Vincent, on her latest live show (Rolling Stone #1203).

"It hasn't been this much violence against black men since the '60s. I am Trayvon Martin, we're all Trayvon Martin... That could have been me or one of my homies. So, stay alert and never miss your target."
Rick Ross explaining the lyrics to new, Trayvon Martin-referencing track, "Blk & Wht" (

"[Adam Levine] hasn't had a day off. He's tired. In season 4 I might have been hormonal and sleepless, but now I'm rested! And I'm focused as laser! And I am going to give you all this focus!"
Shakira just returned to The Voice and, good lord, she's cute as a button.

"She's got boots."
Usher's back on The Voice too, and he's still hella boring.

"I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me."
Robin Thicke is getting divorced. Maybe soon-to-be-ex Paula Patton wasn't keen on him hanging out with all those naked ladies after all....

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
