The Pixies were just here in the Bay Area, but if you missed 'em at the Fox Oakland, all is not lost. The grunge-godfathers-with-ever-rotating-lineup just announced plans for a special intimate show at Big Sur's Henry Miller Memorial Library in April, presented by the Bay Area's own (((folkYEAH!))) Presents.

The show goes down Tuesday, April 15 at the library -- which, in case you haven't been, is a lush and beautiful little spot tucked into the redwoods of Big Sur. It's a magical place to see pretty much any show. And while there are some reasonable doubts as to what's happening with the Pixies these days, we're sure they'll have no trouble selling out the allotted 300 tickets.

Tickets for the April 15 show go onsale this Thursday, Feb. 27, at folkyeah.com.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
