Noise Pop Adds Real Estate, Dr. Dog, Throwing Muses, and More to 2014 Lineup

February is getting ever closer, and so is the full lineup for the Noise Pop festival's 22nd year. Organizers today announced another batch of bands for 2014, including Real Estate, Throwing Muses, Dr. Dog, Cold Cave, and many more. Also announced today is the festival's film lineup, which includes Mistaken for Strangers, about the National, and Revenge of the Mekons, about the legendary cult British post-punk outfit. Check out what's on tap for various Bay Area venues next Feb. 25 through March 2:

Individual tickets for Noise Pop 2014 go onsale this Thursday, Dec. 12, at 12 p.m. Festival badges are on sale now. (Note that the Lord Huron show at the Fillmore is sold out, but buying a badge will get you in.)

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
