Here's a Mashup of All the Pop Garbage* You Loved This Year

Posted By on Tue, Dec 3, 2013 at 4:31 PM

Fuck year-end lists; this is better. Every December, DJ Earworm makes a sonic collage of Billboard's Top 25 songs of the year, blending them together into a zombie mashup that works way better than you think it should. How the hell can you merge "Wrecking Ball," "Royals," and "Cruise (Remix)" into one song? Well, click play on the above and listen to find out. You'll find the full tracklisting here. Farewell, 2013, and here's hoping the next 12 months give us all a little less Miley.

* Kidding! Or, at least, we loved it, too.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
