British post-punk veterans Wire have been cited as an influence by R.E.M., Sonic Youth, The Cure, Minor Threat, My Bloody Valentine...we'll stop there. And we know there are some super-fans out there, but in these parts, probably too few of us have seen Wire live. We'd like to change that.

Tweet @SFAllShookDown or comment below with why you absolutely need to be at this show, and we'll give one of you a pair of tickets to see the band this Monday, Nov. 18 at Slim's. Singer Colin Newman isn't a fan of re-hashing musical territory he's already covered, as he told us this week, so you know you're in for something, well, unique.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
