Beloved Tenderloin club 222 Hyde is closing next week, as we reported this morning. And Icee Hot -- the crew responsible for some of the most forward-looking dance parties in the city, and which began at 222 Hyde -- just announced that it's throwing one last, free event to bid farewell to the underground club. Tonight.

Featuring Anthony Naples and S.F.'s Vereker (of the L.I.E.S. label) tonight's free party starts at 10 p.m., and also features residents Shawn Reynaldo, Ghosts on Tape, and Rollie Fingers. Here's the Facebook event page with more details. More farewell parties for 222 Hyde are in the works (and we'll let you know about them when info is out), but this initial goodbye event looks pretty solid.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
