2. "Utopia," by Footprintz

"Footprintz is a band that we are developing on our label who are making some of the most exciting synth-pop out there right now. They are two super cool guys from Montreal called Addy and Clarian and their sound is somewhere between Depeche Mode and a slightly more cheerful version of The xx. They've recently recorded a Maida Vale Session for BBC Radio One, which was a really big deal for us as this is only the third time this has happened for an 'electronic' act, after Nicolas Jaar and Art Department."

1. "International," by Tom Leer

"I only got introduced to this at an 'All Back to Mine' in London a few weeks back by Leon, who manages our Visionquest label. It's a 1984 synth-pop gem which seems innocent at first, until you realize that he's singing about being an international heroin smuggler."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
