When Lil B tweeted last month that he was going to try out for the Golden State Warriors, it was met with the same skepticism as when he said he was Miley Cyrus or Paris Hilton or Matlock. But our Young Based God actually did it this past Sunday, when he suited up and got on the basketball court at Aptos High School to audition for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors' D-League team.

Luckily, Central Coast television station KSBW was there to capture all the glory.
"Just putting my skills to the test, supporting Bay Area teams, and, you know, spreading my love," the aspiring athlete born Brandon McCartney told the anchor. Scouts for the Santa Cruz Warriors planned to take between two and five players from Sunday's tryouts. Lil B wasn't out of place among the competitors, though he might have had more neck tattoos than most. Men of all skill levels and ages turned up to give their dream a shot, including a 76-year-old retired University of California professor. "It's crazy cuz I thought coach wud [sic] be playing me as the 1 at NBA try outs today but he wanted me at the 2, today was #based history," B tweeted afterward, to which a fan dutifully replied, "Come fuck my bitches please." Carry on, Lil B, carry on -- here's hoping your next tryout is for American Idol.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
