Seeing Madonna yelling this inane question at a sea of dance music fans at the Ultra Music Festival last March was a real forehead-slapper. Not only were Deadmau5 and Paul van Dyk  right to call her out on trying to make drugs look cool to a field full of teenagers, but, more than anything, this moment made Madonna resemble your drunk aunt at a wedding, trying to hip-hop dance with the younger folk in the room to prove she's still "down with the kids." Embarrassing and irresponsible and, oh yeah, dumb.

5. "One of the biggest problems in the world right now is nuclear waste... That's something I've been involved in for a while with a group of scientists -- finding a way to neutralize radiation."

No, no. This actually happened. In 2006, Madonna was literally trying to solve the Earth's nuclear waste problems. And, according to Britain's The Sunday Times, she was trying to do so with  -- this is the really fun part -- "Kabbalah fluid." The paper also reported that Madge had approached a variety of British government agencies and Russian scientists in her pursuit of saving the planet. Which is about as useful as splashing evil dictator bastards with holy water, in the hopes that it will wash away all their badness. Dumb.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
