Although the band did fuck up a couple times, that was probably due to the fact Damian was all around the club. And the energy he sparked made it so a couple slip-ups didn't matter. On the floor, surrounded by a crowd of eager young souls, Damian Abraham lead a group singalong from the heart that no one involved will soon forget. That's the Fucked Up experience. It's not exactly what's on the record -- but it's fun, different, and unforgettable.

Critic's Notebook

By the way: I think Damian went for John Cena's finishing move "The Attitude Adjustment" on one stage diver.

Overheard heckle to Ceremony: Singer to crowd after set, "Thank you, we love you." Crowd member response, "Play 'Six Pack!'"

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
