DJs Dave Paul and Jeff Harris have taken their S.F.-based Prince and Michael Experience on the road for the past few years, traveling to cities such as New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. But now they're literally giving their party some wheels. They've chartered a party bus to tour the streets of San Francisco on July 27 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The ride will begin and end at Madrone Art Bar, home of the club night. Naturally, Paul and Harris will spin Prince and Michael Jackson tunes all night, including rarities and custom-made remixes.

Expect the usual on-board trappings -- including lasers, a smoke machine, two giant screens and a stripper pole -- but don't expect the usual captive hell that most of us think of when it comes to a party bus.

Incidentally, the theme of driving is an important one in the careers of these musical icons. You probably know about Prince's "Little Red Corvette," but did you know that Michael Jackson thought up the legendary bassline for "Billie Jean" while driving on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles?

The bus will cruise from Ocean Beach to Fisherman's Wharf, hitting the Castro, Mission, North Beach, SOMA, and the Embarcadero in the process. The ride is limited to 24 guests, and Paul says that half of the seats have already been pre-sold. Email to try to reserve a spot. Admission is $30 and the event is BYOB, though the hosts plan to bring a little bit to share. So if you're lucky enough to go, pour out a little liquor for Michael while you're at it.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
