Z-Trip's Show This Saturday at the Warfield Is Canceled

Not this Saturday...
  • Not this Saturday...

Just got word from the publicity folks that this Saturday's show at the Warfield -- featuring Z-Trip, De La Soul, Nosaj Thing, and Daddy Kev -- has been canceled. Which is a bummer: we were excited enough about this lineup that we previewed it in this week's issue.

We don't have much info yet on what led to the cancellation -- an L.A. publicist says it was nixed "due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control."

The show is being rescheduled, but meanwhile, anyone who bought tickets can get a refund where they bought them. Contact Ticketmaster for more info.

Sorry folks, guess you won't be reliving any Frank Ocean songs this weekend.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
