Critic's Notebook:

The crowd: It seemed a little young in some spots of the venue, or maybe I'm just getting older. Also, kids: It's one thing to remove your heels to walk down Market Street barefoot after a long show, but if you're going to take off your Chucks or whatever flats you may have, you're just asking to get hepatitis or something.

Personal bias: I've enjoyed Panic! at the Disco for a while, but wasn't sure how this new album would sound. Also, a good friend played the main character for the video "Ballad of Mona Lisa," so that's probably one of my favorite songs right now.

Random thought: I wonder how many pictures and videos I photo-bombed as I was moving around in front of the stage.

See all of Gil's photos from the show. Trust us: they're pretty great.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
