More love for Richie Cunning from SF Weekly. The recent member of the Thizzler Bay Area Freshmen 10 class dropped a new song a couple of days ago, which samples "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, an instant nostalgia trip for the under-40 crowd. The new song is also called "Pure Imagination," which Richie admits is to "trick people looking for something else into listening to it," but quite accurately sums up the feel-good nature of the song, about following your dreams and the like. Though we like the alternative title "Trilly Wonka," it might be best to save that one for the remix.

Stream or download the song "Pure Imagination" at Richie Cunning's website.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
