Today in Internet Cat Worship: Adopt a #BASED Cat Like Lil B's

Posted By on Fri, May 6, 2011 at 1:23 PM

It's never not a good day for cats on the Internet, but today is a particular boon for that post-cinco de Mayo hangover. (Also, we have a contractual obligation to report on everything Brandon McCartney does.) Ladies and gentlemen, meet Keke:

Lil B adopted this she-beast at least a year ago, but has seen fit to reveal some new RARE, #BASED, LEGNDARY (sic) photos of her on his ("stylist's") Tumblr, Dior Paint, today. It's a welcome change from screenshots of lustful declarations from buxom twitterers, in any case. After the jump, some RARE etc. footage of Lil B speaking to Keke like the soothing divinity he is ("Keke, stop being a mean cat. Stop it.") while a USA courtroom drama plays in the background.

Has B written a song called "Hot Dog Kitty" yet? Seems like it would kind of write itself. (Unlike, um, the majority of Lil B songs.)

While we're at it, you should make sure to check out Slate's exposé on feline service in the U.S. military, and this thinkpiece on the loudest-purring cat in the world. More importantly, you should do like Based God and adopt a cat. Cats are so swag. Try Wonder Cat RescueGive Me Shelter -- where I got my own #BASED kitty -- and of course the SPCA.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
