@ The Fillmore

Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell's solo Songbook Tour rolled through the Fillmore last night for an acoustic foray through the singer's own catalog and classic covers from the likes of Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, and Bob Marley. Armed with just a six-string and his tornado siren of a voice, Cornell was in top form, and the show sounded excellent, according to Calibree photographer Jen Cash. She sent these images of Cornell, and openers Pine & Battery and William Elliot Whitmore. You'll find a full list of the songs Cornell played after the jump, and see more photos from last night here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
