Video: The Wrong Words Have an Oakland Adventure in "Wrong Again"

More promising local power-pop: S.F.'s The Wrong Words get silly in this new clip for "Wrong Again," a jangly, attention-deficient breeze of a song. The video was shot partly at Down at Lulu's, the Oakland vintage boutique and hair salon haunted by Hunx and His Punx's Seth Bogart. It's a great setting for a video plot that includes secret admirers, makeovers, band practice, and a rendezvous in the park. You'll just have to watch to find out how all those plot elements come together.

"Wrong Again" is off the Wrong Words' self-titled debut, out earlier this spring on Chicago label Trouble in Mind.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
