For some, the Morning Benders' Big Echo just wasn't enough. Not enough songs, that is. The Berkeley quartet's second album was a lush, dream-pop breakthrough, but it only contained 10 songs. (Not that there's anything wrong with 10-song albums!)

For those who want more Big Echo-era Morning Benders, singer-songwriter Chris Chu put up a new song this morning:

My only regret with 'Big Echo' is that this song wasn't on it. I wrote it after watching Annie Hall for the 100th time. than a minute ago via SoundCloud Favorite Retweet Reply

Oh Annie by The Morning Benders

"Oh Annie" is even slower and more dreary than much of Big Echo. Also, it's lovely. Check it out above, you can buy it here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
