... because it just wouldn't fit inside the Warfield.
Okay, so we don't actually know whether that's what happened, but it seems likely enough. Adele is the newish pop star with a short name and a giant, giant voice -- you've heard it on "Rolling in the Deep," if not many other places -- who will be, um, rolling through the Bay Area on June 4.
For reasons unclear, though possibly related to the supreme power
of her vocal chords and/or skyrocketing popularity, said show has been
moved to a larger venue. Which is lucky for those of you without
tickets to the Warfield show: More tickets are going on sale this Sunday.
Original tickets will still be honored, of course. Fresh Greek Theater tickets go on sale this Sunday, April 17, at 10 a.m. Lawn seats are $45, and reserved seats are $65; you can buy 'em here, and if you want 'em you should do it quickly. Soon Adele's name will be as big as her voice.
