Video: We Talk to Young Prisms About Playing Bottom of the Hill, Touring Europe, and their New EP

Back in January, S.F. psych-gaze quartet Young Prisms celebrated the release of its debut album, Friends for Now, at Bottom of the Hill. We liked their "beautifully stoned"-sounding album enough that we thought it was worth telling you about back then, and we even showed up at the gig to ask the members of Young Prisms what it's like being a two-year old band that gets to tour Europe, and what to expect from their upcoming EP. We also filmed some of their set. Here's how it went.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
