Thom Yorke Dancing to 'Single Ladies' -- Funniest (Radiohead) Video Ever

Posted By on Fri, Feb 18, 2011 at 3:00 PM

By now you've seen the clip for "Lotus Flower," off Radiohead's just-released King of Limbs. (A first take here.) And you've probably been unsettled by the apparent disparity between what a madly writhing Yorke seems to hear in his head -- when he dances through the entire video -- and what you hear in this new Radiohead song. Well, friends, the above video clears it up. Yorke was listening to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" the whole time.  Or at least, it's hilarious to think so.

Note: If you don't get why this is funny (a condition we frankly can't imagine) you really need to watch the original video, which is after the jump.

And here's the original, for purposes of sober comparison.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
