Watch the Silly, Glammy New Video for Deerhoof's 'Super Duper Rescue Heads!'

Posted By on Tue, Jan 11, 2011 at 8:28 AM

So Bay Area art-punk figureheads Deerhoof have a new record, Deerhoof Vs. Evil, dropping Jan. 25, and yesterday, they dropped a video for the standout track "Super Duper Rescue Heads!" Among other things, it features Deerhoof frontwoman Satomi wandering the chaotic streets of Tokyo (where it was filmed), Satomi vibing around in feathery white and superhero makeup like some fantastical J-Pop star, and Satomi chillin' on the couch with a kitty kat. Like Deerhoof, it's cute, funny, and weird. Watch it after the jump.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
