Now, this just makes us feel all warm, fuzzy, and proud: A new "victory mix" of San Francisco music called Finally Champions, courtesy of S.F.-boosters True Panther Sounds. The mix has 21 tracks, some that were recorded specifically for this comp (Dominant Legs' "Finally Champions," we're guessing), and others that were recorded specifically for their ever-pleasing, drug-like effect on our ears (The Fresh & Onlys' "Waterfall") All in all the mix features songs from many artists that make us happy to live here: Ty Segall, Sonny & the Sunsets, Magic Bullets, the Sandwitches, Girls, oOoOO, Young L, and Blackbird Blackbird, among others.

Also, check this: you can stream the whole mix below, and download all the songs for just $1 -- a donation that goes to support San Francisco homeless folks.

We'll let True Panther explain the political stuff:

Our jubilation was tempered the day after the World Series victory, when San Francisco passed Proposition L, also known as the Sit/Lie Ordinance. Prop L makes it a crime to sit or lie down on any sidewalk or on top of any object (blanket, lawn chair, milk crate, etc.) from 7am-11pm, punishable by a $100 fine for first offense and up to 30 days in jail for a second. This is a law that in our opinion criminalizes the poor without coming up with solutions but also makes a potential offender out of anyone wanting to relax in a lawnchair in front of their house. While we initially planned on making this compilation available for free, we ultimately decided to charge $1 and donate 100% of the proceeds to the SF Coalition on Homelessness in recognition of their new challenge.

Here's the mix:

Also: Brilliant local video-makers Yours Truly have another SF Giants mix, done in conjunction with the one above, for your ears. It's like an early S.F. Christmas, people.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
