An Incredibly Misleading Halloween Party Poster From Wild 94.9

Posted By on Thu, Oct 28, 2010 at 4:20 PM

Now, say you saw this:

What would you think? If you're like most people, you'd probably think, "Hell yeah! I'm about to go see Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre headline Wild 94.9's Halloween party!"

That's certainly what the designer of this poster wants you to think. But that's not what this poster is advertising.

This poster is not advertising an appearance by Dre and Snoop. It's for a show by their "official DJ," DJ Jam. See below:

Fine DJ though he may be, this is highly deceptive. Thanks, Wild 94.9.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
