So what's up with N*E*R*D's new album?

Oh, nothing.

No seriously -- Nothing is what it's called. The trio's fourth album -- whose new single, "Hypnotize U," was produced by Daft Punk -- comes out Nov. 2. But you can hear it in advance at an S.F. listening party this weekend. More details after the jump.

The Nothing listening party goes down at 10:30 p.m. this Saturday at the swanky Redwood Room at the Clift Hotel. DJ Kevin Manning is hosting, and the whole thing is free -- with RSVP. Sign up here, and let us know the new record is a big deal. Or if it's, uh, nothing.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
