Oogle The Fresh & Onlys Fun, Floury, Bouncy "Waterfall" Video

Posted By on Fri, Oct 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM

What has a flour-faced Amoeba Music employee, trippy projections of nature scenes, a trampoline, and a lot of talk about TV being dead?

Wrong! It's not a Mission hipster party. It's the new video for "Waterfall," the addictive first single from S.F. psych-pop outfit The Fresh & Onlys' new album, Play It Strange.

Play it Strange was released upon the world this week, along with its visual accompaniment. You can download an MP3 of "Waterfall" here, but in the meantime, enjoy the screens and trampolines in this weightless vid, made by Funboy Productions and Eighty Four Films and directed by Andreas Trolf.

The release party for Play it Strange goes off tonight at Cafe Du Nord, where local vintage-pop songmaster Kelley Stoltz will also celebrate the release of his new album, To Dreamers.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
