Oakland's Grand Lake are celebrating the vinyl release of Blood Sea Dream, their debut full-length, tomorrow night at Cafe Du Nord. We can hook up one lucky reader with tickets and a copy of the album, which mixes post-punk and Pixies-esque proto-grunge in a spacey landscape that never quite lets the listener know what's coming up next. What you have to do is simple: hit us up on Twitter @SFAllShookDown, and tell us your favorite thing about seeing live music in San Francisco. The answer can be cheeky, sarcastic, or totally honest -- it's up to you. The reader whose answer we like best will be rewarded with a free trip to catch this up-and-coming band tomorrow night. So let the Tweeting begin.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
