8:30 p.m., $10-$12

The beatmaker scene surrounding vaunted Los Angeles club night Low End Theory has not stopped sending San Francisco a steady stream of stoney bass-centered live lineups. But Friday's still stands out: Starting off is young freak-rhythm whiz Shlohmo, who flavors the watery inclinations of Flying Lotus with some unique found-sound textures. Following him are the proggy and wry guitars, violin, and beats of duo Jogger, featuring Jonathan Larroquette, son of the famed character actor John. Closing the night will be the frantic (and brilliantly named) techno performance troupe We Are the World, whose members sound and move like an acid-flushed version of the Residents at a rave. The Southland madness commences tonight at the Rickshaw Stop.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
