Photo: Jello Biafra, Please Learn to Use the Internet

And you think it took a while to get Kanye West on Twitter? From what our sources at Alternative Tentacles (the record label started by ex-Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra) tell us, their tech-phobic boss isn't even hip to e-mail -- Biafra has to be faxed documents. What's a fax? I'm not really sure, but a Jello fan here at SF Weekly decided to try to send Biafra a kind little invitation to the Internet via the machine-that somehow-sends-paper-through-wires. Because the 'tubes need more fiesty old San Francisco punks -- really, they do. (And yeah, Jello, if squirrelly little Nick Cave can do it, you can too.)

Jello Biafra appears in person, most likely without his fax machine, in a performance with the Guantanamo School of Medicine this Friday Saturday, August 14, at Great American Music Hall.

Follow us on Twitter, Mr. Biafra, @SFAllShookDown, and we'll follow you.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
