You may resume breathing, disappointed Bay Area U2 fans: Bono and company are coming back. But not until next year. As you no doubt remember, U2 had to cancel last month's Oakland show due to the sunglassed singer's emergency back surgery. Tour promoter Live Nation announced today that the band will return to the North American road next summer. Between shows in Seattle and Anaheim, the Irish lads will hit McAfee Colisum (where the A's play) on June 7, 2011 -- a hair more than a year past their original 2010 date. Tickets from the canceled show will of course be honored. Start counting down now.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
