After rattling eardrums in Oakland for a few days, the 14th annual Mission Creek Music Festival moves across the Bay tomorrow for a week/end of cheap drinks, live music, partying in church, film screenings, art shows, and rocking out in McLaren Park. There's a huge serving of public creativity at this year's festival, but we'd recommend checking out tomorrow night's show at Cafe Du Nord for a bite-sized beginning to it all. There, songstress Rykarda Parasol will sing her booze-soaked odes to dark times and deep regrets, and effervescent folkies Mark Matos & Os Beaches will keep things friendly. There's plenty of other attractions at the Mission Creek festival, but that oughta at least get you started.

Update: Over at the Bay Bridged, you can download a podcast of many of the artists performing at Mission Creek Music Festival this year. Think of it as a handy festival guide in MP3 form.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
