It is with great (and, yes, self-promotional) pleasure that we announced a wildly expanded lineup for the All Shook Down music festival in North Beach on July 25. In addition to our national headliners -- Janelle Monae and Neon Indian will perform on an outdoor stage -- we've gathered what we think is a choice group of local artists to play in clubs around the Grant and Green area. (Details on pricing, location, etc., are here and after the jump.)

Check out this local lineup, in no particular order:

Ty Segall
Forrest Day
Birds & Batteries
Sonny & the Sunsets
The Park
Grass Widow
The Jazz Mafia All Stars
Boca Do Rio
Personal & the Pizzas
A B & The Sea
Ghosts on Tape

(lots more after the jump)

Santero

Joe Bagale
The Oakland Faders, feat. Zeph, Platurn & Enki
Disco Shawn
Mister Loveless
Mozaic
The Rondo brothes w/ The Foreign Globester
The Ferocious Few
Citay
Bare Wires
Tiny Television
Odessa Chen
Crystal Monet Hall
Swoop Unit
Eric Sharp
Derek Hena

Catch all of these artists, along with Janelle Monae and Neon Indian, in North Beach for all of $12. Like, whoa. New Belgium brewery will be serving lots of beer, and there'll be food tents aplenty. VIP passes are available, too. All the details are here

Now you'll really want to follow us @SFAllShookDown, right?

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
