Judgement Day to Play Three Local Shows in July For Free

Posted By on Wed, Jun 30, 2010 at 7:53 AM

Maybe the economy isn't that bad after all. Bay Area string metal practitioners Judgement Day seem to be doing OK, at least -- the band has just announced that all its local July shows will be free. "It's time for us in Judgement Day to thank our fans for all of the great support you've shown us this year and give you a little something back," goes an email sent out early this morning to the band's mailing list. The trio Judgement Day, for those who may be unacquainted, plays roaring, cinematic metal with just an electrified cello, electrified violin, and hellza drums. Check out the band's free, local July dates and the genius "Violin Hero" video for "Cobra Strike" after the jump.

Judgement Day's free Bay Area shows in July:

July 2 -- The Uptown, Oakland

July 24 -- Samapalooza, Novato

July 25 -- LastSundaysFest on Telegraph

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
