OK, San Francisco, here you go: bass music, acid-house, tropical club tunes, and Pride-ready disco. We're not saying it's the only stuff going on this weekend, but it's certainly some of the best (if not the best) events for listening and dancing to excellent party music. 'Nuff said.

Friday, June 25

What: Psychedelic Radio w/ NastyNasty, Dulce Vita, Dials, and more
Where: Club 6
When: 10 p.m. - 3 a.m.
Why: San Francisco bass music seems to grow exponentially every time you turn around. Used to be, one or two acts claimed the genre, but now producers are popping up everywhere you go -- and with them come the clubs. Every fourth Friday in the Club 6 Bassment you'll find Psychedelic Radio and its ever-changing roster pushing the joint's low-end-heavy soundsystem to its limits. This week we've got local tune makers NastyNasty, Dulce Vita, DJ Dials, DJ Napsty, and Soul Fire dropping beat heat on your anxious ears.

What: Soft Metals, Party Effects, and more
Where: Li Po Lounge
When: 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why: Portland's vintage synth-toting duo Soft Metals is set to grace San Francisco's Li Po Lounge with a healthy dose of female vocals and old school-referencing acid-house. Soft Metals has a sound somewhere in between Glass Candy and your top five late-'80s dance-pop tracks. Fellow dance music revivalists Party Effects will accompany the outfit for this party, as will DJs Primo and Jordan. It's sure to be a night of classic rave tunes and '90s dance tracks. Trade your inhibitions for glow sticks at the door.

Saturday, June 26

What: Icee Hot w/ Mosca, Ghosts on Tape, Disco Shawn, and Low Limit

Where: 222 Hyde

When: 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why: Straight outta the UK for his first ever performance on US soil, DJ/producer Night Slugs cohort Mosca is sure to proverbially "kill it" with his collection of tropically minded, bass-centric club tunes. The guy has been gaining momentum for a while now with his Square One EP and recent podcast for XLR8R magazine, so it's about damn time he came across the pond to share the love. To boot, the award-winning party's resident DJs, Ghosts on Tape, Disco Shawn, and Low Limit, will also be in full effect throughout the night, dropping jam after booty-shaking jam for the sweaty throng. Promise yourself now that you won't miss this.

What: Go Bang! w/ Jason Kendig, Sam S, Marcelino, and resident DJs
Where: Deco Lounge
When: 8 p.m. - 3 a.m.
Why: Come celebrate one of San Francisco's biggest weekends with the special Pride edition of Go Bang!. Gay, straight, or bi-curious, everyone can and should enjoy a heaping bunch of classic disco and boogie tunes spun by some of the City's finest selectors. Honey Soundsystem's Jason Kendig heads up the night, alongside the likes of Sam S, Marcelino, and regular tune-jockeys Sergio, Steve Fabus, and Tres Lingerie, and will surely deliver the funky dancefloor goods in the most prideful of ways.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
