If you've even heard of this thing called jazz, chances are you're a
Miles Davis fan. And if you're at all familiar with the San Francisco scene, you know the
Jazz Mafia as well. The talented local crew is paying tribute to the music legend for what would've been Davis' 84th birthday, with a show at
Yoshi's on Tuesday, May 25th. They'll be playing two sets, with the first focused on
Birth of Cool at 8 p.m. and the second getting electric with classic albums
In A Silent Way,
Live Evil,
Bitches Brew, and
Tutu.
Last year the Davis tribute sold out, but the Jazz Mafia is setting aside one pair of tickets to give away on All Shook Down. Be the first to give us the rundown on your favorite Miles Davis album below and the tickets are yours.
