As if you needed an excuse to call in sick tomorrow. It's probably gonna be sunny, and who couldn't use a three-day weekend? If you're a Raveonettes fan, here's a third reason to let someone else handle your workload: the band is doing a free in-store from 1-2 p.m. to help draw attention to the new Dr. Martens store on Haight St.

The duo is in town to perform at Oysterfest later in the weekend, and supposedly there will be free tickets to that event for the first 20 Raveonettes fans through the Dr. Martens door at 1 p.m. Get 'em.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
