On Saturday May 8, the City Underground plays host to an all-ages, all-day event for you diehard skate-punkers and floppy-haired grommies. During the day, starting at the ungodly hour of 11a.m., an amateur skate contest ensues with all the ollies, frontsides and kickflips you can carry out for a chance to snag the $2000 prize. And for those of legal age, there's cold brew and onsite tattooing for bad/amazing chain reactions.

The lineup includes legendary bands Face to Face, Circle Jerks, Adolescents, The Ataris and La Pliebe, and All Shook Down has got quite the bounty for you. Here's the deal: Five bands. Five pairs of tickets. Be the first 5 to comment on your favorite song by any of the playing bands, and you'll nab a ticket for yourself and a buddy.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
