Video of the Day: Washed Out's Aerobic 'Glo'

Posted By on Wed, Mar 24, 2010 at 6:51 PM

Washed Out - Belong (Music Video) from Blake Salzman on Vimeo.

Washed Out may be a bedroom producer, but there's nothing sleepy about his live show (especially if he has a full band backing him, as he did for the sauna he created in Austin). The dude otherwise known as Ernest Greene makes disco for dreamers (or glo-fi, if you prefer throwing around the nu-school tag) and this video for "Belong" continues the outer (head) space fantasy.

Added bonus: follow these video moves between now and Washed Out's Sunday night show at Rickshaw Stop, and you could fit into all that American Apparel crap, no problem.

Work up your reading on Washed Out too--with Dan Weiss' profile of the chill producer here

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
