SXSW Saturday Morning Scorecard

Posted By on Sat, Mar 20, 2010 at 10:23 AM

Saving tired feet by taking a pedi-cab across the city driven by a dude who swerved around the streets like a crazy cabby...

with my buddy Tom Monday from LimeWire.

This guy, getting a drink at the bar.

People trying to watch surprise guest Muse from the top of a parking lot overlooking Stubb's.

This band, who I saw everywhere.

A short, 1 a.m. garage punk blast of Tyvek...

Before going the other extreme and hitting the sauna party for Washed Out's blissed out, beachy electronica set--and by beachy, I mean one dude even surfed the crowd at the end. Excellent way to close out the night, and excellent live act.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
