I've been reporting on the aimless graffiti that almost shut down Rev. Bertie Pearson's amazing monthly, EpiscoDisco. (Quick recap, at the last event, a young girl tagged up the place, threatening a really great, totally free gathering featuring top local artists/art and film installations and a mix of live bands and DJs).

Today Pearson checked in with the good news--a lotta black ink couldn't spoil the party completely. He says EpiscoDisco is back on, with a great lineup for March 13. Jonas Reinhardt will fill the cathedral with grand, spaced-out krautrock, and BT Magnum will step behind the turntables. As usual, the gathering runs from 7 to 10 p.m.--and regardless of your belief in God and devilish behavior, it's a good idea to respect this special space and stuff.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
