Dear Deer Tick fans: there's good news, and there's bad news. First, the good. The group is coming back to the Independent, where it started a show with a stage dive back in July, and the boys are coming here to play for free. The bad news is tickets are limited, so if you want to go, you'll need to RSVP before you even finish reading this post.

The rootsy, riled up, folksy rock 'n' roll act is playing San Francisco as a promotion for local streaming music site MOG, and you help your chances for getting in by RSVPing to them at mogshows.deertick@gmail.com. The concert starts at 9 p.m., and the Independent notes that RSVPing doesn't guarantee gettin' in. So arrive early if you really want to insure you'll see every last dive to and from the stage.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
