On any given weekend, there are tons of dance parties going on in San Francisco's clubs, concert venues, warehouses, and living rooms. For Weekend Party Preview, we've boiled down the finest offerings into a couple select options that should really heat up these rainy winter nights. And yeah, we didn't include the house party where your buddy is playing records, but these four picks should rival his collection of 45s in just about every way.

Friday, Feb. 5

What: Super Fun Dance Party
Where: 111 Minna
When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why: What's better than a dance party? A super fun dance party, of course. 111 Minna is giving its two big rooms over to this eclectic night of live performances with electro-tinged hip-hop (Hottub), electro-tinged rock (Lilofee), and electro-tinged electro (Pance Party). Three DJs will also be performing amidst the live acts. A dance party will happen here for sure, but it'll be up to you to make it super fun.

What: Dirtybird Five-Year Birthday Party
Where: Mezzanine
When: 9 p.m. - 4 a.m.
Why: Five years ago, a San Francisco club culture/dance music institution was born. The Dirtybird label has since traveled far and wide, spreading the good news of house and techno through its stable of talented DJs and producers. Tonight, Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Worthy, and more will bring you their special brand of funky, bass-toting beats in an epic seven-hour celebration. In addition, part of the proceeds from the party will go to Doctors Without Borders and their relief efforts in Haiti, and the whole shebang is free before 11 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 6

What: Congorock
Where: Project One
When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why: As part of his More Fire Tour across North America, Italian DJ/producer Congorock will be bringing his percussion-heavy dance tunes to our city. The guy knows how to start a party; he's been doing it for over three years.

Free Bonus: All Shook Down readers have the chance to get down with the Fool's Gold artist for free. The first two people to answer this question correctly will receive a pair of tickets to Saturday's party: What electro duo featured Congorock on their first EP? Please leave your answers in the comments of this post.

What: Magical Properties Tour w/ Daedelus, Nosaj Thing, and Jogger

Where: Mighty

When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Why: L.A's bass music scene has grown exponentially since the

advent of Flying Lotus, The Glitch Mob, and other young producers obsessed with both hip-hop and electronic music. Three such artists

have put together a nationwide tour to share what the

So-Cal bass scene has to offer. Between the chamber-pop melodies in

Daedelus' beat-heavy tunes, Nosaj Thing's penchant for wonky and

reverberated rhythms (read more about that here), and the duo in Jogger mixing live

electronics and string instruments, this show is eclectic

enough to please a wide array of music fans, and make all of them

get down.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
