Do you have strong opinions about music? Are you fanatical about hip-hop, electronic music, the DJ/club scene, metal, punk, pop, noise or any combo/offshoot of the aforementioned genres? Are you out and about in the local music scene while also keeping tabs on what's happening nationally? Do you have clips to display your tastes and your way with the written word? Are you unafraid of writing critically? Are you funny? Do you know your way around the blog world? Are you still reading this?

Then All Shook Down would love to have you as our intern. You'd be assigned live show reviews, band interviews, and other ways to spread that music knowledge out to the masses. The one hitch is that you must be enrolled in a college level program that offers credit for internships.

Previous journalism, and particularly blogging, experience is a plus, as is being handy with a digital camera. Please send a cover letter, resume, and a couple music writing samples to Jennifer.Maerz@sfweekly.com. Thanks.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
