No passports were required at this sold out New Year's Eve event, which whisked party-goers away to 10 areas featuring six different country themes. The event, held at the mirrored and gilded halls of the Westin St Francis was one of San Francisco's largest and most attended this New Year's Eve, with almost 4,000 attendees occupying over 30,000 square feet.

The club was transformed into ancient Rome replete with cutouts of Corinthian columns and marble statues. From our observation it seemed the roman god of wine Bacchus himself was in attendance,overseeing the flow of festivities.

we tried to go to get shots of the rooms we kept getting one more
couple or group wanting their pictures taken. We brought about 200 SF Weekly
cards and ran out by the end of the night; You should have seen the
line for photos!
The hit of the night was the photobooth itself, and everyone in the club seemed to line up to get their pic taken before the countdown to 2010 began. And as if the night wasn't already crazy enough, the New Year catapulted the evening into a frenzied pace of the three "Ds" -- dancing, drinking, and debauchery.
