Local indie music boosters the Bay Bridged are hosting a series of live in the studio sessions with various Bay Area acts, and the latest episode is a good one.  Yoni Wolf, a.k.a. WHY?, gets melancholy over the piano with a cover of Pavement's "Shoot the Singer (1 Sick Verse)." The song sounds incredibly sad stripped back to his forlorn vocals and twinkling ivories. The session also includes a couple good WHY? songs as well--check it out here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
