Who needs to remix a single song when you can cut, past, hammer, screw, and otherwise distort an entire album to your personal liking? The Melvins will unleash Chicken Switch this September, a CD of revised visions of entire Melvins records. The band handed off permission to remix one--and in some cases, multiple--albums to Eye Yamatsuka, Matmos, Lee Ranaldo, Merzbow, and 11 other sonic tweakers willing to put their music through new shredders. The results should be interesting, to say the least.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
