The young artists of the Marin Youth Center (MYC) are over the moon--almost. Having just announced the release of the MYC compilation album Many Thoughts/One MYC (available on CDBaby now ), which proves it is possible for today's youth to record curseword-free rap music, they've been selected to perform at the 40th Anniversary of the N.A.S.A. moonwalk on July 19th in Mountain View.

MYC artists have also announced a bunch of shows and appearances leading up to the historic celebration, including a May 15th slot on the Urban Network Connections TV show, a May 17th gig at Canal in San Rafael, May 20th at the KMEL/WYLD 94.9 tour in San Francisco, and the official record release party June 13th at the MYC. Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
