The Bay Area Andy Warhol appreciation spreads across the bridge this weekend, when Amoeba Records hosts a Factory Party  in Emeryville (1343 Powell St.). The event sounds pretty sweet (especially because it's free, and all ages), boasting two Velvet Underground cover bands, live art making (screenprints and screen tests), displays of Warhol's "Screen Tests," "Iconic Factory furniture, artwork, and characters," and an invitation to dress in your '60s best.

Plus the party is a giant art show for 60 Amoeba-employed artists. All the info you need is here

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
