Aquarius calls Night Control "Jagged and fragmented and crystalline and shimmery and totally bizarre and beautiful." We'd have to agree on all those points, but add that the one man band's casual approach to recording lays down disjointed, minimal dance pop with all the background coughs and junky percussion and toy instrumentation kept in the mix.

The music is the rainbow connection between Prins Thomas and Ariel Pink -- cosmic disco meets crackpot pop with a serious romantic streak. Check out any of the gorgeous tracks Night Control has on offer here and hear the Los Angeles artist that Aquarius has taken to calling "ESSENTIAL" for good reason.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
