South African art rockers BLK JKS get all kinds of cozy with all sorts of genres-- from post-punk to reggae to arena rock and plenty in between. The Johannesburg act was a minor hit at last year's SXSW, and they're making another long voyage to the states this Spring to stun folks with their freethinking music and spectral sound effects. Check out the tune "Lakeside" and then cram into the Rickshaw Stop for the San Francisco stop of their first official U.S. tour on Monday, March 9.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
